Supergirl Season 2, Episode 2 Synopsis: “The Last Children Of Krypton”

“Supergirl” Season 2 continues with a new episode this Monday, Oct. 17, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Don’t worry, we will recap everything that happened! “I love how Calista plays it where you’re never quite sure [if she knows]”, Kreisberg said. Cat Grant is taking a leave of absence on Supergirl and taking her own advice to leap into the unknown – but is she gone for good? The two then share a hug. Kara, Clark, J’onn and the rest of the DEO will be facing off against Cadmus. They go to complete one final mission together – or so they think.Advertisement

“My biggest thing about Superman is he always is doing what he wishes anyone else would do if they could do what he could do”. The surprisingly icy dynamic between Clark and J’onn is proving to be a lot of fun. This poster is most likely a result of Supergirl’s fight with Metallo hinted at in the synopsis of this episode.
In response, Superman placed the blame for his cousin getting hurt on Hank because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO.

The celebration of family time doesn’t last very long this week after Superman and Supergirl are called away to check on a possible bridge jumper, but when they arrive they meet Project Cadmus’ newest weapon – John Corben has been transformed into Metallo.
This week, Supergirl will be facing off with Metallo!
But misdirection and red herrings are the hallmark of any Berlanti-run The CW superhero show, so it may be that the person installing supergoo and kryptonite into Metallo isn’t the one actually in charge of Cadmus. Clark says that he should have been there. She wants to move to Metropolis but Alex is not about that. The show has found a very clever way of incorporating Superman without making it feel like he is taking over the show from Kara. However, they’ll have the Winn’s new anti-kryptonite protectors and backup on their side. When she catches him in the act, she is ambushed by The Doctor, the mysterious woman in charge of Cadmus.
So, the Metallos were defeated but the fight against Cadmus has only just begun. It’s a odd and unexpected turn of events but the team behind Arrow and The Flash obviously know what they’re doing. And in the key 18-49 demographic, “Supergirl’s” 1.1 rating was best in nearly six years, when the new “90210” was still on the air. The introduction of Kal-El after a season of build up kicked off what looks to be a strong sophomore season of Supergirl, with the show already showing it fully understands the brighter side of Superman with only two episodes. The two of them track the mole by following the trail of kryptonite radiation.
Supergirl goes to say goodbye to Cat.
At the office, James tells Kara that he will have Cat’s position at the company. We could see Kara revert to her more jealous and judgmental ways when she learns who Mon-El truly is. Kara even briefly considers joining Clark in Metropolis where they can be a full-time superhero double act and she can escape the less than flawless elements of her National City life.

“Supergirl” Season 2 premiere on the CW network gave us the super “team up” of the Kryptonian cousins, Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Kara (Melissa Benoist).
