A bomb threat was called into the Jewish Community Center in Whitefish Bay, according to police.
In an email to members, JCC President and CEO Mark Shapiro said there was a “safe and calm full evacuation of our facilities” and the building is closed. Another threat has been called in to the JCC in Albany, New York, according to police there. Centers in Colorado and Utah may also have been evacuated.
“In light of the newest bomb threats, we must remain a resilient community, and we need to ensure that we are back at our JCCs as soon as local police advise the all-clear”, Goldenberg said.
Two week ago, bomb threats targeted two Jewish centers in central Florida and two Jewish preschools in Tampa. She said some of the threats came in as robo dialers and some were actual people.
Four Jewish Community Centers across the US were evacuated Tuesday, the latest in a series of bomb threats at the centers in the last few weeks.
There were no injuries or actual explosives reported found following the earlier bomb threats.
