If you don’t want to know any details on what to expect, then stop reading. Only 4 days until the final season of TVD airs on The CW! ❤️ A photo posted by The Vampire Diaries (@vampirediaries) on Oct 17, 2016 at 6:39pm PDT In a video posted by TV Line, Paul Wesley talked about the future of Stefan and Caroline (Candice King). Even though The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere episode will start off with some steamy “Steroline” scenes, things won’t stay that way. Expect things to get bumpy and a bit out of control with the two. Wesley could not say if Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes end up together, but fans hope so. There has been talk of a “Steroline” wedding, which gives viewers hope that the two will make it. However, TV Guide teased a few months ago that another female has her eyes on Stefan Salvatore. The publication also hinted that the woman goes to great lengths to get what she wants and usually wins. Stefan and Caroline have been through a lot. It turns out that it won’t be so easy to get Caroline’s man. The website teased that Stefan will have to play both sides carefully. “But after everything they’ve been through together, Stefan or Caroline aren’t going to let their relationship fall apart without a fight. When Stefan is forced into this dangerous woman’s life, he must carefully balance appeasing her without losing himself in the process.” The Vampire Diaries actor also spoke about Elena’s return. He couldn’t give specific spoilers but did tease that the final season should reference Elena Gilbert. He added toward the end of the video interview that in Season 8 of TVD, Nina Dobrev’s character is “referenced a lot.” Having Elena mentioned is great, but “Delena” fans really want to see the actress come back to the show for at least one scene. There are rumors that Dobrev will appear in The Vampire Diaries Season 8 finale, but that has not been confirmed. One theory fans have is that Elena will end up saving Damon. Another speculation is that Damon and Elena will reunite in a long flash forward, which would allow Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) to live a long, full life. #Throwback to this photoshoot???? . . . Repost from @itstvdfridays A photo posted by The Vampire Diaries (@vampirediaries) on Aug 21, 2016 at 5:26pm PDT It will be hard to please everyone, but The Vampire Diaries main characters should have some sort of happy ending. This includes not only Damon, Elena, Stefan, and Caroline, but Bonnie and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) as well. It would also be nice to see Alaric fall in love with someone without losing her. Before anyone can think about the Season 8 finale, there are a few things to take care of first. Damon and Enzo need to be found and saved. The creature needs to be taken care of so she can’t control or harm any others. There are loose ends from previous seasons that should be tied up and all open storylines have to be resolved. There is a lot of things that need to happen in the upcoming season of The Vampire Diaries. Hopefully, TVD fans will be satisfied with the ending. What do you think of what Paul Wesley had to say about Stefan and Caroline? What do you expect to happen with Elena Gilbert’s return? Can Damon and Enzo be saved from the mystery creature? Which TVD characters will get a happy ending in Season 8? Find out when new episodes of The Vampire Diaries air on October 21. [Featured Image by Alberto E.
