WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Moose (1-1-0-1) saw their point streak come to an end as they fell 4-1 to the Bakersfield Condors (1-0-0-0) in their home opener at MTS Centre on Tuesday.Manitoba entered the game with a total of three points in its last two games. The loss also drops the Moose to 4-11-0-2 when it comes to home openers played in Winnipeg.RELATED: Patrice Cormier to wear the ‘C’ for the Manitoba MooseJujhar Khaira scored twice for the Condors including the game’s opening goal with roughly four minutes left in the first period. Khaira later gave Bakersfield a 3-1 lead during a second period power-play by stretching out to re-direct a Taylor Beck feed past Moose goalie Eric Comrie. Scott Kosmachuk had Manitoba’s only goal of the game. The forward swept a Marko Dano pass into an open net for a first period, power-play goal to tie the game 1-1.Moose goalie Eric Comrie made 29 saves in his second start of the season. He denied Braden Christoffer’s short-handed breakaway early in the game. A few minutes later, Comrie stopped a Bakersfield odd-man rush. Across the ice, Condors’ Nick Ellis logged 30 saves in the game.The game marked Brenden Lemieux’s first of the season. The forward has been sideline since the Winnipeg Jets’ rookie camp with a foot injury. Lemieux finished the night with 19 penalty minutes including a five minute major for fighting.The two teams will meet again Thursday night at MTS Centre. The game starts at 7 p.m..
