A Chicago granny turned the tables on a sexual predator who called himself the “Grim Reaper,” clobbering the creep with a beer stein and then a crowbar when he tried to rape her. Angela Ferguson was in bed early Monday in her South Throop Street home when she awoke to find a man on top of her, demanding sex. “All I know is somebody grabbed my hair,” Ferguson, 58, told WFLD. “He kept saying, ‘I’m the Grim Reaper.’” That’s when Ferguson grabbed a beer stein to repeatedly strike 30-year-old suspect Dorval Grice, 30, dazing him to the point where she was able to push him out of the bedroom. “When I kept hitting him, hitting him, he wouldn’t give up. He wouldn’t give up,” she said. “I kept beating him, and seen blood everywhere. They said he had to have three surgeries on his head.” Despite that beer-stein battering, Grice returned moments later– so Ferguson grabbed the crowbar she kept under her bed. “I just kept hitting him, kept hitting him, kept hitting and kept hitting him,” she recounted. “He was like this, ‘Aaahhh,’ knocked out,” Ferguson recalled. Once he was knocked out, Ferguson got out her apartment to call 911. But despite living 1 ½ blocks away from Chicago’s 12th District Police Station, Ferguson said he had to make repeated calls. “So then I called back again, she said `Who is this?’ I said, this is Angela Ferguson, please come help me, please come help me, so I stood there and I waited on them to come,” she said. “I actually had to call them three times.” Grice was booked on suspicion of home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault.
