A lot of cheap, annoying junk gets offered to gardeners. Pots without drainage holes. Cutesy, flower-patterned gloves that wear out after a couple of weeks. Trowels that snap — or bend in half — the moment you stick them into clay soil… Frivolous products like these keep on appearing — undoubtedly because manufacturers know that most gardeners are women. But hey guys, we’re not all fluffy, brainless idiots. Every gardener I know — of either sex and any age — doesn’t give this worthless stuff a second glance. It’s crammed with literally hundreds of items — big and small — that immediately make me think: “Oh boy, I’d love to have one of those.”
