Steve Chavis told ANS:
“Joe White’s heart for men has been shaped by thirty
years of men’s ministry and speaking to hundreds of
thousands of men world-wide. Joe has also founded
ministries for city evangelism, service, missions,
college students, and most of all, his family. Kids
Across America, founded in 1978, reaches 7,000
inner-city kids and 900 urban leaders each summer. Cross
International works with 250 different ministries world
wide to serve more than one million people in poverty.
In Haiti alone, Cross International offers a feeding
program and education for 17 schools and an orphanage,
reaching more than 6,000 children.
“‘After Dark,’” a
seven-year-old ministry of campus evangelism travels to
30 university campuses annually, igniting a new
generation of committed Christian leaders.
“Kanakuk Kamps, at
twelve locations in Missouri and Colorado, host more
than 20,000 campers and 2,500 college age and
professional staff. The kamps provide outdoor summer
sports camps that promote personal growth and Christian
character.”
He concluded by
saying, “Joe White, the author of 20 books, is the
father of four and grandfather of seven, and is more in
love with his wife of 35 years, Debbie Jo, than ever
before.”
