Non-Denominational Bible
Study, “Getting to Know
Jesus”
(Newport
Beach, CA - Pastor Glen
Copple today announced
the international,
online release of his
groundbreaking,
non-denominational
12-Volume Bible Study
series, “Getting to
Know Jesus, (GTKJ),”
which discusses
every event in
the life and teachings
of Jesus Christ from the
perspective of The
Gospels of Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John.
Each event is positioned
side by side with the
respective Gospel
passage so the reader
can see how the stories
are told from each
author’s unique point of
view.
Lessons also include a
verse-by-verse
commentary explaining
the text, as well as
discussion and homework
questions to make the
learning experience
complete. Also
included are full color
photos showing where
that event occurred in
the Holy Lands, complete
with charts and maps.
To
introduce GTKJ to
those who want to learn
more about Jesus’ life,
Volume 01 of the eBook
is now available for a
FREE download
from
www.gettingtoknowjesus.org,
taking the reader
through the
annunciation, birth and
childhood to the baptism
of Jesus at age 30.
Printed volumes are also
available from
New Hope Gospel
Ministries
at P.O. Box 14505,
Torrance, CA 90503 or

The GTKJ study
series is being used,
free of charge, by
ministries and
missionaries in over
thirty-five countries
around the world.
Efforts are ongoing to
put this material in the
hands of other foreign
ministries where people
are hungry to learn
about the life and
teachings of Jesus
Christ. Purchases of
the entire set help
offset the costs of
supporting these
ministries.
The author, Glen Copple,
earned a Master of Arts
in Ministries from Hope
International
University, and has
served almost two
decades in churches in
Kansas, Missouri and
California. The result,
the GTKJ bible Study
series, combines his
years of education,
experience and Bible
research to assemble a
study on the life of
Jesus that uses the
Gospels as his guide.
According to Pastor
Copple, “In my years in
ministry serving many
churches nationwide,
I‘ve observed many
people believe in Jesus,
but they know very
little about His life
and teachings. They
believe in Him, but they
have never engaged in a
study of His life to
really learn the events
and see how they apply
to our lives today.
That’s why I wrote what
became
a non-denominational,
12-Volume Bible Study
series,”
Copple said.
“I couldn’t believe it
when the GTKJ
Bible Study Series
received endorsements
from some of the most
well-respected
ministries in the
nation, among them.
Retired
Senior Minister of the
18,000 member Southeast
Christian Church in
Louisville, KY, author
of When God Builds a
Church and a dozen other
books, and currently
serves as Chairman of
the Board at the Londen
Institute. Bob Russell
says,
In my 40 years as senior
minister at Southeast
Christian Church in
Louisville, Kentucky, I
was reminded almost
daily of the importance
of Bible Study to
individual Christians
specifically and to the
church generally. How
else can we know how to
live God-honoring lives
and build a church that
lives out the Great
Commission to make
disciples?
Yet surprisingly, solid,
Bible-based curricula
was not as plentiful as
I would have expected.
Glen Copple’s Getting To
Know Jesus Bible Study
helps address that
deficiency by providing
a superb, comprehensive
and effective curriculum
for local churches who
want to take their
members to a new level
spiritually.
Here’s what I like about
Glens series:
1)
It is
Bible based.
Each lesson focuses on
related passages of
scripture that
illustrate a Biblical
principle from the life
and teaching of Jesus.
Verse-by-verse
commentary is provided
to help illuminate the
lessons from the text.
2)
It
engages the student
by
employing probing
questions and involving
them in a discussion of
the scripture.
3)
It is
creative.
The maps, charts and
outlines are very
helpful in enabling the
student to grasp and
internalize the topic.
4)
It is
practical.
As we
trained our Adult Bible
Fellowship, Men’s
Ministry, Women’s
Ministry and other
teachers at Southeast we
emphasized the
importance of
application in teaching.
How else can we expect
our students to change
their lives and change
the culture?
I
recommend Getting To
Know Jesus
because
this Bible Study does
exactly that---it helps
the participant get to
know Jesus in a way that
is life changing, church
changing, and culture
changing.

writes,
"The "Getting To
Know Jesus"
Bible Study series is
Biblically based. The
study is set in the
historical context of
the New Testament times.
This fact allows the
student to comprehend
the intent of the Gospel
writers to their
audiences. Once that
understanding is clear,
we can apply their
message to ourselves.
The format is clear,
easy to follow, and
allows for an inductive
method of Bible Study.
The student is able to
draw his/her own
conclusions, but within
an appropriate Biblical
context.
Dr.
Woodrow Kroll,
President, Back to the
Bible International
says,
If you want to saturate
yourself in the life and
teachings of Jesus
Christ, now you have a
handy tool that will do
just that.
Getting To Know Jesus
highlights every event
in Christ’s life using
both thought-provoking
commentary and a harmony
of the gospel accounts.
Forget laying out all of
the resources you have
side by side, if you
really want to really
get to know Jesus, this
one will take you there.
I am grateful you have
negotiated with Logos to
have these included in
their software
resources. This is just
what they need something
genuinely usable to the
lay people of the world.
“It’s difficult to
quantify how much
GTKJ will change a
person’s life and bless
the people in their
church and community
after they have gone
through an in-depth
study of the life of
Jesus Christ?”
Indeed.

exciting series can be
